Your First Visit
Arriving for your first sleep apnea appointment may cause some uncertainty, as you might not know what to expect. Fortunately, our team of skilled professionals is here to guide you through the process so that you feel more confident and comfortable. A member of our team will greet you before escorting you to a treatment room where we will ask you questions and determine if you should be tested for sleep apnea. If so, we’ll go through the necessary steps to have you evaluated before moving forward with available treatment options.
New Patient Forms
We know your time is valuable, but we also want to make sure that we provide the highest level of quality care possible. When you arrive for your appointment, we will have you fill out all the necessary new patient paperwork. Since you’ll need to wait until you reach our office to complete this step, we advise that you arrive early. This will help to keep your appointment on time.
When it comes to treating temporomandibular joint disorder or sleep apnea, it can be helpful to have insurance to minimize your out-of-pocket expenses. We are pleased to welcome most of the major PPO plans but will also file with your medical insurance should you require an oral appliance. Because most dental insurance companies will not cover sleep apnea treatment or therapy, we will need to file on your health insurance to help you get the most out of your available benefits.
It is possible that if your out-of-pocket expenses are quite high, or your insurance company will fail to pay any portion of your treatment that you can apply for low or no-interest financing through CareCredit. By signing up for one of their available plans, you incur no surprise fees while breaking up the cost of your treatment into manageable monthly payments. This ensures that you get the care you need without sacrificing quality.
