Why Did You Decide to Become a Dentist?

Dr. Stampe’s interest in the dental field was first sparked when she was a senior in high school. She participated in the health professions work program and began working in a dental office at just 17 years old. In addition to helping with administrative duties, she became a trained dental assistant – that’s where she truly fell in love with all things dentistry.

After several years of serving her patients as a general dentist, Dr. Stampe became keenly aware of just how big of an impact airway health had on her patients’ overall wellbeing. This motivated her to complete a residency in craniofacial pain in 2014 and earn her board certification with the American Board of Craniofacial Dental Sleep Medicine a few years later. And the rest, as they say, is history!

Where Did You Study Dentistry?

Born and raised in Texas, Dr. Stampe graduated from high school in Garland before attending the University of North Texas. From there, she studied at the Baylor College of Dentistry and graduated as the valedictorian! She was then chosen for the Advanced Education in General Dentistry program and became one of the youngest recipients of the Fellowship Award from the Academy of General Dentistry.

Although her awards and achievements are impressive alone, one thing that truly sets Dr. Stampe apart is her commitment to her craft and her patients. In addition to undergoing training in a wide range of topics – from implantology to cosmetic dentistry – she is board certified with the American Board of Craniofacial Dental Sleep Medicine and an active member of the following organizations:

  • American Dental Association
  • Texas Dental Association
  • Academy of General Dentistry
  • American Board of Dental Sleep Medicine
  • American Academy of Craniofacial Pain
